Al-Hilaniyat Island is located in southern Oman, specifically in the Arabian Sea. The Hilaniyat Islands belong to the Wilayat of Shalim in the Dhofar Governorate. The island is about 40 km away from the shore.
The island consists of five islands, but the largest and most famous is Al-Hilaniyat Al-Kubra. It is also the only one inhabited by residents.

It’s best to visit from October to April to enjoy the enchanting weather and calm sea, so you can enjoy every moment without missing anything.
There are several ways to reach the island, but the most common way is to drive from Salalah to Shuwaimiyyah, then take a boat ride for about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the sea conditions.
Another way is by a large boat that moves weekly from Taqah Port to the island, usually carrying logistical support such as construction materials, cars, and residents’ supplies.
There is also a small plane that flies every week or 10 days, mainly for employees and the island’s residents.
